The solid surface collection kit is intended to be used for collecting viruses from contaminated solid surfaces like glass, ceramic, inox, leather, screens and more. Viral genomes can then be detected by biomolecular methods (PCR, RT-PCR, dd-PCR, Sanger, NGS). This product is primarily designed to capture genomes of both enveloped (e.g. SARS-CoV-2) and non-enveloped viruses (e.g. Noroviruses) from a 25 cm2 solid surface according to WHO (World Health Organization) guidelines.
