Description
InActiv Blue® is a virus inactivation and RNA stabilization medium used to transport nasal or oropharyngeal swabs or saliva from patients to perform diagnostic tests to detect the presence of genetic material of a virus by RT-qPCR or virus by RT-qPCR or other molecular method (SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B, RSV A/B).
General Informations
InActiv Blue® abrogates the infectious potential of collected patient material without affecting the integrity of the RNA to be used in a diagnostic test based on RT-qPCR or other molecular method. InActiv Blue® also functions as a lysis buffer. It contains guanidine thiocyanate and N-lauroylsarcosine for virus and RNase inactivation. Complete product composition is provided in the MSDS.
